Hmm, OK. The wiki makes a distinction between "GPL2 only" and "GPLv2 or any later version", however, the two license contents in /usr/share/licenses/common are the same.

wiki: "A licenses package has been created in [core] that stores common licenses in /usr/share/licenses/common ie. /usr/share/licenses/common/GPL. If a package is licensed under one of these licenses, the licenses variable will be set to the directory name e.g. license=('GPL')"

GPL in /usr/share/licenses/common/ is symlink to GPL2, explicit is better than implicit.

I believe the license was correct: "GPL", not "GPL2". See "(L)GPL - (L)GPLv2 or any later version" in the wiki.

pkgdir should be quoted: "$pkgdir/"

I don't know how to commit this but I made a patch.

0.9.11-2.patch - https://goo.gl/1LiyWr
PKGBUILD - https://goo.gl/jiqqDI

Put together in a directory and run 'makepkg'
That's it

It may be worth noting that the maintainer, xylosper, is the developer of bomi.

If you look at the Github page, no work has been done on bomi since June of last year. That means it makes no sense that this package is flagged as out of date. It's not out of date. There's just something wrong with the pkgbuild, presumably because of other updates in Arch.

But if you look on the twitter feed for bomi, in February of this year the developer said they might be able to start working on bomi again in a couple months. So it seems like that might be when they get back to it here in AUR.

Thanks @varlesh.
Can you adopt this package? Maintainer seems lost.
