mmm, really strange because i personally tested that. i'm able to access a video resource now and i can debug. For me now external player works.
how did you launch the app? to temporarly workaround player error now it is executed by:
can you give a try?

Just another question. How can I delete the wrong request?

I'm sorry to inform you that the problem still persists. My desktop environment is KDE. And another weird thing: when the program starts it doesn't find all the new book entries. I'm sure about this because if I run Booktab under wine I see many books that are not present with the other system.

Now watching a video using an external player works. Audio clip play seems to work embedded. Of course you need a player "xdg-open" correctly configured. What i mean is that booktab will open the player that you'd open by double-click on that type of file. Why the video internal frame remain dead is for now a mistery. No error, no log, nothing that i'm able to see.

Sorry for the delay. When I try to watch a video (under Risorse) the window remains white. And if I click on "Usa un video player esterno" nothing happens. This is what I see on a terminal:

hi porcaror and thanks for reporting.
I'm not able, right now, to reproduce the problem. Can you execute 'booktab' in a terminal and copy-paste the relevant output during the video playback failure (if any)?
porcaror commented on 2018-06-30 19:50 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Unfortunately it's not possible to watch the videos inside the Risorse
