@ Anish also, sure you know, but someone mentioend this too:
The PKGBUILD in AUR is obviously wrong- there's no mention of $pkgdir (or even $startdir/pkg) at all. Nothing will be properly installed.
Check out the AUR comments, and try contacting the maintainer.
on the main thread! Thanks for all your hard work!

@anish Hi! Arch newbie here, just posted some information that MAY or MAY NOT be useful to you in bug-fixing, etc. @ the BBS via https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=127549
My debug log is located at the bottom of the thread! Hope that may (probably won't) help you out!

@yiuin thanks for the work, sorry for the delay but I've been busy. I'll update in a day or two.

Alright got it all fixed. Boxee at least runs, haven't tried much else. The source tarball is here: http://distant-giant.com/boxee-1.2.0.20310-1.src.tar.gz
It works for 64 bit linux, and I don't think any of the changes I made should be harmful to the 32 bit version so this would work for both, and it is the 1.2 beta version of boxee.

I've made some headway with the x86_64 PKGBUILD, but I get a bunch of undefined references to Python packages. Output is here:
http://paste.pocoo.org/show/481786/
and the latest (broken) version of the boxee PKGBUILD for x86_64 is here, I couldn't think of where to post it so it is just on my private server:
http://distant-giant.com/boxee-1.2.0.20310-1.src.tar.gz
note that this doesn't work, it fails on the file Boxee executable compilation as I mentioned in the beginning.

I needed to install sqlite3 to get this to work, tried on a fresh VM. Maybe should be added as a dependency?

A 1.1 thread would be good. I'm almost done with the package function, should by up by the weekend.

Should we make a boxee 1.1 general thread, or a new wiki page, or...

This package is meant for those interested in trying out Boxee 1.1 on their systems. For a stable earlier 0.9 release please see http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=24206
Note: That package is beta at best, it's the boxee box release compiled on a PC. It is currently *32bit only*. The PKGBUILD only has a build function so far, no package function, so you will have to try out boxee in the compile directory instead of having it installed on your system. i.e. only the compile part is done so far, not the install. You will need to wade to your compile directory to find/use the boxee executable.
Do not try and use this if you don't know what you're doing and please backup your user directories. I repeat, the package is beta and best, alpha even so please bear with any errors for the time being. If you are having issues, please start a forum thread; do not spam the living daylights out of this package's comments.
Boxee is fairly complex and provides no upstream support, please bear with this till the bugs get ironed out.

@onny If you're not gonna update this package, do you mind if I pick it up ?
