@hotfloppy: I just realized I was wrong in my previous comment and caused some confusion. I was thinking of a VCS package with a pkgver() function, but that doesn't apply here.
Set the source array to use the
$pkgver
variable:When there's a new release, update the pkgver and run
updpkgsums
. The new release will be downloaded and the new checksums will be calculated.yochananmarqos commented on 2021-08-30 14:08 (UTC)
@hotfloppy: The pkgver was already 0.9.0, so it didn't change. Notice it reset the pkgrel to 1, though?

@yochananmarqos, thanks. Updated to use tagged release. However,
updpkgsums
seems to generate the checksums only. Still have to manually updates thepkgver
. Or did I miss anything?yochananmarqos commented on 2021-08-29 13:55 (UTC) (edited on 2021-08-30 18:39 (UTC) by yochananmarqos)
@hotfloppy: No, I meant use the tagged release:
https://github.com/tom-james-watson/breaktimer-app/releases/download/v0.9.0/BreakTimer.AppImage
Running
updpkgsums
ormakepkg --verifysource
will automatically update the pkgver and generate checksums.hotfloppy commented on 2021-08-29 05:52 (UTC)
Thanks @yochananmarqos for the reminder. pkgver updated.

Please use the versioned AppImage from GitHub and use a proper pkgver.
