Not sure whether the dev is still active on this, I was waiting for a release but it has been a while now so decided to package the last version tagged which is the RC2 version.
At least it works now.

This no longer compiles properly.
An FYI: The git repo for BrogueLite has been moved over to https://github.com/HomebrewHomunculus/BrogueCE (with the developer undecided on whether or not to rename the new repo) as per their comment on this issue: https://github.com/HomebrewHomunculus/BrogueLite/issues/30#issuecomment-882771628
