I just debugged for quite some time the following error message (I always got this message and printing didn't work):

E [08/Jan/2023:14:38:05 +0100] [Job 165] No pages found!

By enabling the debug logs I found out the following logs:

D [08/Jan/2023:14:38:05 +0100] [Job 165] /opt/brother/Printers/dcpl8450cdw/lpd/psconvertij2: line 67: which: command not found
D [08/Jan/2023:14:38:05 +0100] [Job 165] /opt/brother/Printers/dcpl8450cdw/lpd/psconvertij2: line 75: exec: -r: invalid option
D [08/Jan/2023:14:38:05 +0100] [Job 165] exec: usage: exec [-cl] [-a name] [command [argument ...]] [redirection ...]
E [08/Jan/2023:14:38:05 +0100] [Job 165] No pages found!

In the end what fixed my problem was installing the which package :). @Svenstaro can you maybe add this as a dependency?
