Unfortunatelly this driver is not working as intended. Sometimes the printer is visible and sometimes is not. I found a different way to make this printer and scanner to work, here it is:

1) yay -S brlaser 2) yay -S brscan4

Once done, REBOOT.

add new printer in http://localhost:631/

  1. Choose LPD/LPR Host or Printer
  2. lpd://yourprinteripaddress/BINARY_P1
  3. Choose Brother DCP-7055W, using brlaser v6 (grayscale) as a driver

do the test print

For the scanner part

  1. Open terminal and type

sudo brsaneconfig4 -a name="DCP-7055W" model=DCP-7055W ip=yourprinteripaddress -s

  1. Check if the scanner is visible with command in termianl

scanimage -L

  1. After that you should be able to print and scan.
