After install, to use the scanner of your printer and if you're using your printer over network, just execute this command by replacing "xx.xx.xx.xx" by the printer's IP address:
sudo brsaneconfig4 -a name="Brother DCP-J525W" model=DCPJ525W ip=xx.xx.xx.xx
