Without cups-browsed, LPD the only option but cups could not find the LPD filter.

I had to do this:

ln -s /opt/brother/Printers/dcpj562dw/lpd/filterdcpj562dw /usr/lib/cups/filter/brother_lpdwrapper_dcpj562dw
systemctl restart cups

/opt/brother/Printers/dcpj562dw/cupswrapper/brother_dcpj562dw_printer_en.ppd specifies these:

*cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-postscript 0 brother_lpdwrapper_dcpj562dw"
*cupsFilter: "application/vnd.cups-pdf 0 brother_lpdwrapper_dcpj562dw"

Strangely this one ignores all your print settings. Installing cups-browsed, IPP became available (dnssd:// address). But to connect to it I had to do this: https://askubuntu.com/a/1483733 else it wouldn't connect. The IPP Everywhere driver offers the least settings but apparently works best?

Can you please add cups to the dependencies? It is used after installation.

Indeed, it was a leftover from the skeleton pkgbuild file that I used as a basis. Thank you for pointing it out, fixed now.

Why does this have a makedep on rpmextract? It's never used.
