@spasd the package has been marked as orphaned for over a year, being orphaned is enough to indicate that it's unsupported, that is literally what that means. as for adding it to a similar driver package, that is something i can't help you with. i don't and have never owned this or similar printer to test it with. if you are able to do that, you could submit a deletion request citing that the package is obsolete. i also made this in 2017 and spent little time on it, i don't remember any of the details.

@MikuroK, sorry for writing a little late. I may take it over but what do I do with it? Do I just copy and paste the PKGBUILD script over from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hl-1110 since the drivers are basically the same. The best idea that comes up to my mind is if you update the description to something like "Brother HL-1112 CUPS Driver(Unsupported! Please read the pinned comment!)" and write a short pinned comment explaining users to use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hl-1110(and that its compatible with their printers ofc). I will make sure to add keywords related to hl1112 to my package. Cheers

@spasd, It would seem I didn't have the time, lol. I'd forgotten about this package and didn't actually own this printer at all, I made this package as a response to someone else who was having trouble setting it up manually. I'll disown the package, you're welcome to take it over but I'm in no position to fix anything about it. I'm glad to see more than one person got a use out of it, however.

ive made a patched version https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-hl-1110 (i know that this comment was posted like 6 years ago) now the 2 people who have this printer and use arch linux can do it easily without extra patching

@aleb, Thanks for letting me know, I set this up for someone else, so I don't own this printer to test it with.
I'll get to this when I have the time.

Printing on HL-1110 works only when installing additional files needed by /usr/lib/cups/filter/brother_lpdwrapper_HL1110. See details on https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1805109#p1805109
