There is also another package for this printer, brother-hl-l3270cdw.

This one package attempts to store drivers in standard file locations, not the weird ones used by Brother, which is nice. However, for me, this package does not work properly:

During print, there is an error: "Open LUT file 0600-k_cache17.bin failed!"
The document is eventually printed, however the page margins are set incorrectly and page borders of the Test page are missing.

So I ended up using package brother-hl-l3270cdw, which works fine for me.
