I just took over as a maintainer for this package. There are no updates available from Brother, but I changed the lib32-libcups dependency since it does not seem to be used as a dynamically linked library by any of the provided files.

Please let me know if there are any issues.

Hi bf_x and derdeagle! I don't use that package anymore and I don't have the time to maintain it. Would anyone of you like to become the maintainer of it?

Dependency lib32-libcups should be replaced with "libcups" only

I couldn't update because of the broken dependency for lib32-libcups. I now only have libcups installed, cloned the repo, removed the lib32-libcups dependency, built the package and installed it and it is working. Could you please verify if lib32-libcups is still necessary and if not remove it?

@Migy Funny thing that. I copied from yours (for brother-mfc9335-cdw), and removing the dependency didn't break anything. I think it's safe if you remove it from yours too, since it's just another shell.

@ForgotUmbrella I copied the dependencies from another package description. There are some other Brother packages which also have tcsh as dependency. However, unfortunately I don't know why tcsh is listed as a dependency.
