Hi bf_x and derdeagle! I don't use that package anymore and I don't have the time to maintain it. Would anyone of you like to become the maintainer of it?

Dependency lib32-libcups should be replaced with "libcups" only

derdeagle commented on 2023-06-23 11:56 (UTC)

I couldn't update because of the broken dependency for lib32-libcups. I now only have libcups installed, cloned the repo, removed the lib32-libcups dependency, built the package and installed it and it is working. Could you please verify if lib32-libcups is still necessary and if not remove it?

@ForgotUmbrella Thanks for your report! I removed it from dependencies :)

@Migy Funny thing that. I copied from yours (for brother-mfc9335-cdw), and removing the dependency didn't break anything. I think it's safe if you remove it from yours too, since it's just another shell.

@ForgotUmbrella I copied the dependencies from another package description. There are some other Brother packages which also have tcsh as dependency. However, unfortunately I don't know why tcsh is listed as a dependency.

ForgotUmbrella commented on 2017-05-22 08:36 (UTC)

Might I ask why tcsh is a dependency?

@windy Thanks for the notice! Updated the url just now :)

Upstream URL is broken, should be http://support.brother.com/g/s/id/linux/en/index.html
