Install cups. Enable it:
sudo systemctl enable org.cups.cupsd
sudo systemctl start org.cups.cupsd
After installing this package, run:
sudo /opt/brother/Printers/mfcl8600cdw/cupswrapper/cupswrappermfcl8600cdw
to add the printer to cups. Finally go to 127.0.0.1:631. Modify the printer to point at the correct ip address.
