It was the router that blocks the connection between printer and notebook, I'm very sorry to waste your time; I hope now to make it function by usb. goodbye thanks

I have followed your instruction:
lpadmin -p MFC7440N -E -v lpd://BRN001BA91A9C33/BINARY_P1 -P /usr/share/cups/model/MFC7440N.ppd
the printer appear to be installed correctly, cups is running, but nothing change, I couldn't still print anything.
Do I have to follow also instructions inside this wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cups#Appendix?
I'm already in lp group, do I have to add also lpadmin group?

The .install file should display right as the pacman -U finishes, and gives instructions for using lpadmin to add the printer. I don't know how you added it, so I'd try removing it and using those instructions. After that, you should be able to get a test page from the cups admin page -- localhost colon 631. (cups is running, right?)

the printer is connected by ethernet (but I've tried also by usb),
I added the printer by using cups and the administration menu.
which directions at the end?
I was trying to print from okular a pdf file.
the output of the command is: network lpd://BRN001BA91A9C33/BINARY_P1

Hi alwaysanoob, can you explain how you connected the printer (usb or ethernet) and how you added the printer (was it following the directions at the end)? Please include the output of "sudo lpinfo -v | grep BRN" as well. How are you trying to print (from what program, gui or commandline)?
