@ettavolt, @YoyPa: As a matter of fact, my resolv.conf hasn't been changed in ages. And all other network requests work as they should.

However, I noticed that my problem is not restricted to this package but occurs for all AUR packages! Any idea what could be the culprit?

ettavolt commented on 2023-03-06 22:22 (UTC)

pacaur worked for me too. /etc/resolv.conf is usually a symbolic link to something that systemd manages under /run. If you're retrieving in a container, I wouldn't be surprised if that causing link resolution to fail.

No problem on my end, doesnt look like an issue with the package to me ^^'. @adventurer, I would check for a missing /etc/resolv.conf (pointed on the first error).

@adventurer: I did downloaded the snapshot provided here, unpacked it to a clean directory, started a shell in there and a makepkg -cfsi did the job... Anyone else having problems?

adventurer commented on 2023-03-06 17:42 (UTC)

@Harvey: Yes, I tried first with paru. But I also tried it with git clone ... and makepkg -s - but with the same errors.

I don't know what's going on.

@adventurer: I guess your system has network problems (Error mount). I just tested again and it worked flawlessly... Do you use any AUR helper? Maybe empty cache?

@YoyPa: Yes, we can ;) - new version pushed. To be honest I only forgot to do this after the last comment from arcticblaze. My apologies!

Can gtk2 be made optional like in brscan5 ? /opt/brother/scanner/brscan4/brscan_gnetconfig seems to be a pretty hidden feature with 0 references in the arch wiki
