Don't use SUDO in PKGBUILDS. it's forbidden. Don't install something direct to the System. It's a security risk and the files will not be deleted if the package gets deleted. You need to add the files to the pkgdir folder.

@phenax In that reddit thread PKGBUILD also uses sudo. It's unnecessary privilege escalation for just building a package.

Getting this error on makepkg and building requests sudo. Usually makepkg works fine as a regular user.
