My feature request https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/75072 has been processed and extra repo now has bullet-dp with is built with multithreading & double precision.

I'm currently testing opemnw-git built against that version.

If tests are succesfull, this pacakge will be deprecated (and deleted after a transition period.)

Archlinux users should set such options in makepkg.conf , not in PKGBUILDs. incase you need tips to speed up compilation see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Makepkg#Improving_compile_times .

When I started this package it was to use async physiscs in openm trunk .

About 2 months later openmm trunk gained a hard requirement on bullet build with double precisoin and I added that build option also.

If I removed DP from this package it would be useless for openmw and I would loose all interest in maintaining this.

I'll add some keywords to try to clarify this and also think about changing the description.

how about using more jobs than 1 will speed up compilation times a lot

i suggest turning off doubles for precision all it does it consume twice as much ram take twice as many calculations compared to 32 and you don't even notice it

Looks like it was using part of my Anaconda install (ld?) I wasn't using Anaconda anymore so just uninstalled it and it worked.

No issues building locally or in clean chroot.

Do you have base-devel group installed ?

openmw-git users : install bullet-multithreaded.

The other 2 packages are there for compatibility with repo bullet package.
