Actually, it turns out this issue is only affecting 1 of my 2 arch installations. I've asked for help at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2304922#p2304922

@Enrico1989 I do not have any problems with this package, it works here on several systems. Upstream is doing a lot of work, there might be some changes causing issues?

Has something broken after 19f04a0?

I've tried checking out both 7e1b083 (commit after 19f04a0) and e7de2ad (origin/main at the time of writing this), executing makepkg -si successfully, but then launching Byobu fails.

Could you add --disable-trustmux to the ./configure call to disable the trustmux stuff? I think if people want trustmux it should be provided by a separate package.

I edited the PKGBUILD locally, remove the patch and everything appears to be working fine!
