Great... the I/O warning is fixed but the generated gifs aren't animated :(
Thanks anyway!

A good package. Thanks for taking care of the unnecessary gnome-pannel dependency.

Now what's up with that I/O warning?
Any updates on this issue?

I also receive the same error as drxspace. Is this something I need to fix on my end? I can't find any information about this on Google.

I need some help.
While I'm trying to upgrade this (yaourt -Syyua):
- aur/byzanz-git -> 20130104-1
I'm getting the error messages:
- error: package 'byzanz' was not found
- Must specify some schema files to install
- error: command failed to execute correctly
- I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/usr/share/gconf/schemas/byzanz.schemas"
- Failed to open `/usr/share/gconf/schemas/byzanz.schemas': No such file or directory

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks Rasi, done.

Rasi commented on 2013-10-26 16:26

updated PKGBUILD, which uses new git functions, removed gnome-panel and gconf stuff.

rafi commented on 2013-10-26 14:46

The gstreamer dep is wrong. You need 'gst-plugins-base', not 'gstreamer0.10-base-plugins'. Also, 'gnome-common' is needed, 'gnome-panel' is optional.

done, thanks breed808

'automake' dependency should be removed, as it is part of base-devel

btw, if you want this to be usable like `scrot` (select region graphically or select window) you can see the bash scripts here:

works fine, cheers :)

mrbit commented on 2013-01-04 18:21

ok,, add 'gnome-common' ..thanks Marcel_K

Marcel_K commented on 2013-01-04 16:17

You should add gnome-common to makedepends, otherwise you'll get the following error:

which: no in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/bin/core_perl)
You need to install gnome-common from the GNOME CVS
