@klingt.net
Thank you for your answers. On my server I already made a own caddy.service file. One point is that the http user has read rights for the php-fpm socket und www-data not.

By the way. 0.9.3 is out with one new addon (expires) and the coredns

@fanningert: Regarding your (now deleted) comment, the github release does not include all plugins.
Caddy uses `www-data` in its upstream service file, therefore I am using it, too. Maybe I will add a patch file in future releases to change this behaviour. Until then you can simply create a override for `caddy.service` where you set `User` and `Group` to `http`.

@klingt.net
Why are you using the www-data user for caddy? There exist already the http user on ArchLinux system.

@vith: Not possible atm because caddy's buildserver builds a new release every day (or every x-hours) from master. Unfortunately, this has to wait until I can specify an exact version from the buildserver's archive. Until then, we have to trust bit.ly

vith commented on 2016-09-25 21:26

Strong checksums or signature verification would be a good idea, doubly so now that the AUR URL length bug means we also have bit.ly able to send us anything it likes.

klingt.net commented on 2016-09-25 08:58

I've just pushed a new package release where I use bit.ly URL shortener as a workaround for the URL problem with AUR.
