@flying-sheep
in community is the stable version here this is the nightly version.
Also from the website https://crates.io/install
"To install just Cargo, the current recommended installation method is through the official nightly builds. "

why is this package even necessary anymore when there’s cargo in [community]?

xyproto commented on 2015-10-24 13:13

"cargo" is now in [community]. Please add it to the conflicts array.

hobarrera commented on 2015-09-05 19:34

Indeed, conflicts=cargo is missing (though "provides" is in place).

Should be made incompatible with cargo package (from @CReimer).

@Azd325: To add a man file, you just copy it to the relevant directory in the PKGBUILD. In this case:

install -D -m644 cargo/share/man/man1/cargo.1 "$pkgdir/usr/share/man/man1/cargo.1"

Also, you should include the zsh completion with the following:

install -D -m644 cargo/share/zsh/site-functions/_cargo "$pkgdir/usr/share/zsh/site-functions/_cargo"

Lastly, I think you want your bash-completion files to be mode 644 as well, instead of the 755 that you have currently.

I have an updated version of the PKGBUILD available here, if you'd like to see a completed version: https://github.com/michaelherold/PKGBUILDs/blob/master/cargo-bin/PKGBUILD

@tandrade Sounds a good idea. Do you some recommend way in arch?

tandrade commented on 2015-05-20 15:45

You could add the man page included in the current version of the upstream.
