Sadly, it looks like there's an issue with the pre-compiled binary being built on an older version of mupdf[1]. The developer recommends either building it yourself or I suppose backdating to 1.0.0. I might look into making a cbconvert package that does the compilation, since this one is effectively broken for the time being.
