For what it's worth, getting it to run turns out to be fairly easy. I added the following two lines to the end of the package() section:

cd "$pkgdir/usr/lib/GNUstep"

ln -s ../../share/Cenon.app Cenon

Problem is, now it starts but segfaults as soon as I try to do much of anything. I do notice that the contents of the Cenon.app directory built don't entirely match the contents of the analogous directory in the .deb that can be downloaded, which may have something to do with it. However, the .deb uses the same symlinking trick, so that hopefully is at least a little helpful.

Quick hacky patch applied. I will clean that up more tomorrow. And while the build completes, still more work is needed to make Cenon actually run. I was not able to find any email from you but spam is automatically deleted after 30 days. I will check my spam more often.

Sorry, I don't follow the forum. Try emailing people next time. We have our emails at the top of every pkgbuild for a reason. Thanks for chasing down that patch. Should have that applied shortly.

i used this patch as referance https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=10;bug=749553;att=1;filename=749553.patch and it compiles. this is my patched TileScrollView.m > http://pastebin.com/1KJ4W3XG i need help turning this into a valid patch, as i replaced offending lines manually.
