Yeah, my bad. I renamed kinit (which was dropped upstream) to kinit5 and should have put a replaces and conflicts into the PKGBUILD. Fixed now.

my w/r is to remove cervisia/kinit and reinstall kinit5/cervisia.

  • 1# yay -R cervisia
  • 2# yay -Syu kinit5
  • 3# yay -Syu cervisia

@tyl0 There is no "kinit" package.

tyl0 commented on 2025-08-29 16:53 (UTC)

With the 'exists in filesystem (owned by kinit) kinit5', remove the kinit package first, then build kinit5

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kinit5

updating the AUR pages might a while at the moment because of this DDoSing..

Maybe also, try to build kinit5 by hand and don't rely on automatic AUR builders, they also might not get up-to-date information from the AUR at the moment.

I had some trouble to rewrite 'kinit' as 'kinit5' in the AUR (subdirs and no PKGBUILD in commits). Will happen soon (TM). :-)
