Getting build error: Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: texttospeech Running pacman -S qt5-speech resolves it. Please update dependencies.

Regarding the version numbers they match perfectly. 1.5.4 is the chessx version and the -3 in 1.5.4-3 is the Arch package release number. You can read about this at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PKGBUILD#pkgrel

@munzirtaha - installation and built worked great. Thanks a lot! I guess Chessx becomes more and more relevant for the chess community since there are not (good) many chess database programs in general and particular for Linux (The only other ones that I am aware for Linux are Arena and Scid). However I discovered I minor issue: when I go the ChessX -> About ChessX I see under version: 1.5.4.0 (so the update was applied) but this version number is not matching the one in the AUR repository as shown on the top of this page (1.5.4-3). I am not concerned with this but I just want to mention it. - Again - thanks for your great support.

@kemuzor: This seems to be a bug with newer chessx versions. I now downgraded the package to the old 1.5.0 till the issue is resolved.

Got an error for installing chessx 1.5.4-1 under Linux 5.4.44-1-MANJARO (cinnamon) using pacman:

==> FEHLER: Ein Fehler geschah in build(). Breche ab...

Engish translation:

I can provide the full build log if needed but I guess it is too big to post it in this comment. I found a warning at the beginning of the log and I am wondering if this could explain the error:

Warnung: fontconfig: Lokale Version (2:2.13.1+12+g5f5ec56-2) ist neuer als extra (2:2.13.1+12+g5f5ec56-1) Abhängigkeiten werden aufgelöst... Interne Konflikte werden überprüft...

Erstelle chessx...

@JohnRobson: I doubled check and the link is working. May be you got the error because of an intermittent internet issue. The link I am using would work better than explicitly specifying the mirror name, it would choose the best mirror based on your location.
