@sausix Thanks for putting in the work, it was helpful.
This should probably be renamed to chitubox-basic-bin now that upstream renamed the project too, will get to that later.
I've renamed chitubox-free to chitubox-basic everywhere in the package for now.
Had to launch with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb chitubox-basic
as it breaks terribly in Wayland.
If someone could check if 330MB of ffmpeg EXEs in /opt/chitubox-basic/bin/Resources/DependentSoftware/recordOrShot
are necessary, that'd be neat.

Overall it seems the installer is a total mess and installs files for Win/mac/Linux without mercy.

Apparently the update check in the app triggers for the 2.2 beta version - which is beta on the website, but apparently not(?) otherwise?
Please tag this out of date AFTER it's available on the website, as even the online installer has the word BETA in it, there's a small .run updater file that the app downloads but…
EDIT Post 2.3.0:
The version URL is here: https://sac.chitubox.com/getSoftwareBySoftwareId.do2?softwareId=17839
The parameter to check to see if there's an update is this one: "stableVersion": "v2.3.0" (or just read the website)
Anyone who tags this package out of date for a beta version owes me $20.
