I am now the maintainer for chordpro here in the aur, the successor of Chordii :)

@xyproto: the old version which is currently packaged in this AUR package will not be developed further. The new version is available on the SourceForge project page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/chordii/files/chordii/ Since this is a re-implementation in Perl and I have no experience with packaging Perl projects with lots of CPAN dependencies for AUR, I would be happy to hand over maintenance of this package to somebody who does.

Is there a link to the re-implementation of chordii? I could not spot it on the webpage. I would like to move chordii to [community], unless there are things happening with a rename and/or new version.

I'm removing the "out-of-date" flag again. The "new version" 5.0 of this software is a complete re-implementation and the program has the new name "chordpro", so I'm leaving this package as it is. I might make a new package for the new chordpro soon, but feel free to do so yourself.

Updated PKGBUILD to make changes suggested by Schnouki. Upstream source package is still latest...

Thanks for this package! I didn't know about this software but it's pretty great :) A few suggestions: - I had to change the two sed lines to 's/^dist_...' (note the '^') or make would fail in the "man" directory with the following message: Makefile:35: *** incomplete reference to a variable (rough translation of French message: "référence incomplète à une variable", forgot to run it in an en_* locale, sorry) - autoconf and automake are part of the base-devel group, which is supposed to be installed by all users of the AUR, and as a consequence they should NOT be added to makedepends. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository for details.

Updated package to include 'autoconf' as a build dependancy (thanks tanjeff for raising this). The 'chordii' source package is still the latest.

I just discovered that autoconf is missing as dependency. If autoconf is not installed, you get a "autom4te not found" error.

Appeared recently in an IT World story about the 10 best unknown open source projects. It uses a markup language to convert a simple text file into a postscript file containing a printable song sheet together with guitar chord tabulature. Has a database of over 360 chords and the user can add custom chords if required.
