The upstream URL is also available from the upstream's official repository at https://github.com/martanne/ciopfs/. I'd trust GitHub to remain online more often.

The point was not removing the symlink but removing the /sbin folder as that conflicts with Arch file system hierarchy. But you are right, it makes sense to keep the symlink, so fixed.

Why remove the symlink in the PKGBUILD? mount.ciopfs is necessary for it to work on boot via fstab as advertised in the project's website.
