Thanks, that's a good idea. I installed that and it works on my machine. I'll use it instead of my workaround to avoid having loose executables that aren't accounted for by the package manager.

This package doesn't seem to produce an easy-to-execute terminal command to launch it. In order to have this launched by falstad-circuit, I added a file called falstad-circuit to my $PATH containing

#!/bin/bash
electron6 /usr/share/webapps/circuitjs1/circuitjs.html

You may need to install electron in order to be able to do this. Of course, you can also use it in the browser, but it's a bit nicer in electron.
