After correcting the download protocol, package() fails for me with mv trying to move non-existent files:

Can you please change $url to some URL that is accessible in the web browser? E.g. http://anongit.kde.org/cirkuit.

Fails to download source:

  -> Cloning cirkuit git repo...
Cloning into bare repository '/tmp/makepkg/sources/cirkuit'...
fatal: unable to connect to anongit.kde.org:
anongit.kde.org[0: 85.10.198.44]: errno=Connection refused

You need to change the source protocol from git:// to git+https:// to make source download work.

I think the file /usr/share/katepart/syntax/m4cm.xml is going to get installed in the wrong directory. It would be better suited to install it in /usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax. Maybe you could add this to the PKGBUILD file?

Maybe you can change the provides-entry to `provides=("cirkuit=${pkgver}") (i.e. adding version info)?

And also adding cirkuit-kf5=${pkgver}?

The "kdoctools" package seems to be missing in the dependencies
