Sorry for the confusion, launching it from the terminal works as supposed. With the message on Wayland, without on Xorg. However launching it from the application menu doesn't work at all. If I download the appimage from another source, I can launch it from the file manager. The other source is this one: https://web.archive.org/web/20240304192757/https://github.com/citra-emu/citra-nightly/releases/tag/nightly-2104

I also uninstalled it and installed it again. Then I did the same to yuzu-appimage and realized that when downloading citra-appimage it is written: ==> Validating source files with b2sums... citra-linux-appimage-20240516-64e3e9f.tar.gz ... Skipped citra.desktop ... Passed

but installing yuzu-appimage shows: ==> Validating source files with b2sums... yuzu-mainline-20240304-537296095.AppImage ... Passed yuzu.desktop ... Passed yuzu.svg ... Passed

I do not know if "citra-linux-appimage-20240516-64e3e9f.tar.gz ... Skipped" is the problem, because of the citra one being skipped and the yuzu one being passed.

I am using Manjaro KDE and downloaded it using yay and tried pamac and pamac-gtk too. Perhaps the new update to Plasma 6 broke something, I am not sure. It would be helpful to know if someone has the same issue.

@linuxarch Unfortunately I cannot reproduce your issue, for me it opens normally. If I launch citra-qt from terminal, I also get that message, but the app opens anyway.

Can't launch it, downloading the appimage from another source and launching it is not an issue. Also yuzu-appimage works without problems. Launching it from the terminal works but it is written "qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "wayland" in"

@Tortillas-IT fixed, thank you for the report!

Can't install this package: on my machine i have installed "yuzu-early-access-appimage" and for some reason this package is in conflict with that package.

I see the conflict is reported in this page, too

@haxz5rxwi why not?

@BrianAllred you should have devtools in your system/chroot before installing an AUR package. It depends on curl, awk and jq, so it will solve your issue

haxz5rxwi commented on 2024-05-17 10:09 (UTC)

do NOT use install for AppImage's.instead just use cp

BrianAllred commented on 2024-05-16 16:20 (UTC)

The new pkgbuild doesn't build in a clean chroot using aurutils because jq isn't installed until after the variables are parsed.
