It seems the developer of the application removed all releases from github. As such there is currently no way to install this package from binary. It is being hinted these might return after update 0.4.0, so I will update the pkgbuild once that releases (or request to remove the package if it doesnt release with binaries).

I thought Clamtk had been discontinued. Thanks for the good news.

This frontend end can't be installed and there is no update since one year. Maybe you should use Clam Tk which is uptodate

@samtoxie I understand your point and will remove the warning as well as the Github issue.

The fact is that the v0.3 doesn't work, it was an attempt using Electron which was barely working on Windows but didn't on other OS-es, in addition to being unbearably slow.

It was just a wrapper but for the next version there is be a specific daemon with root access which is why I was worried. But we'll see when I finally release it.

Just to clarify, I'm not the maintainer of this package, but as someone who packages other AUR software, I’d like to note that user-packaged content is the core of the AUR. Users are always encouraged to review PKGBUILD files to verify their safety. As such I think your statement sounds unnecessarily scary and provides no bigger risk than other packages in the AUR if proper reviewal is not done. Additionally, this package appears to only provide a GUI for the antivirus, not the antivirus engine itself, but I understand your concerns about security. It’s great to hear that an official package is in the works!

I'm the core developer of the original repository.

I advise against installing the v0.3 as it has very little chance to work and will be a terrible user experience if it does.

I plan on supporting Arch for the v0.5.0 or v0.6.0 and will provide an official Arch package once these releases are out.
