installation using makepkg needed to install inkscape manually. the package was created and installed by pacman -U

andreyv commented on 2016-10-08 13:44

@betruger72: Do you get the same error if you just download a snapshot and run "makepkg"?

betruger72 commented on 2016-10-08 13:32

I'm using bash and I have the same error

andreyv commented on 2016-10-07 15:15

@jtyr: Yes, PKGBUILDs are Bash scripts. You should configure your AUR helper to use bash when operating on the PKGBUILD, or use "makepkg" directly.

I will think about how to improve error handling for this case.

I'm getting the following error:

/tmp/yaourt-tmp-asd/aur-clearlooks-phenix-gtk-theme/./tmp.BSLt8SF70r: line 33: syntax error near unexpected token `('
/tmp/yaourt-tmp-asd/aur-clearlooks-phenix-gtk-theme/./tmp.BSLt8SF70r: line 33: ` cp -a !(doc|*.md|COPYING|_src) "${pkgdir}/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks-Phenix"'

It might to do something with the fact that I'm using ZSH as my shell.

I updated the package. I can still see some minor inconsistencies, though, such as solid black separator lines in various places.

There is new version with 3.20 support.

andreyv commented on 2016-04-09 17:14

Currently this theme is significantly broken with GTK 3.20+.

As a workaround you can try the TraditionalOk theme from mate-themes.

Thanks for noticing this. The repository seems to have moved to Github just recently. The original page now redirects to Github, so we should use the version from this new location.

For now I updated it to v5, since Arch Linux currently has GTK 3.12 and not 3.14 in the repos.

I tried installing this package and I got an error when downloading the tar.gz file: clearlooks-phenix-3.0.16.tar.gz

After investigating around a bit I got very confused. If I follow the upstream URL link I end up in a github page:

But the PKGBUILD file tries to download the file from a gitorious account (and fails):

To make things even more confusing the two git repos have very different versions:
jpfleury: version 6.0.2
andrewsh: version 3.0.16

From my uninformed position it looks as if andrewsh forked jpfleury's code at version 3.0.16 and didn't keep track of further development. While jpfleury has continued development independently and is now at 6.0.2.
It also looks like andrewsh is contributing to the code in github, so maybe the gitorious repo is outdated.

Should we use jpfleury's package from github? Does anybody know more about this?

Why was this flagged out of date? There are no new versions on the website.

the tar.gz did not pass the validity check, please fix.

andreyv commented on 2014-01-26 16:53

This problem should be fixed now.

andreyv commented on 2013-11-23 10:29

The proposed fix eliminates the menubar_gradient_b and menubar_gradient_c definitions in gtk-3.0/gtk.css, and adds three identical definitions of menubar_gradient_a instead. Is that how it's supposed to be?

memeplex commented on 2013-11-21 14:20

I've reported this upstream but please add this fix meanwhile:

sudo sed -i '1060s/.*/padding: 1px;/' /usr/share/themes/Clearlooks-Phenix/gtk-3.0/gtk-widgets.css && sudo sed -i '174,176s/.*/@define-color menubar_gradient_a shade(@core_color_b);/' /usr/share/themes/Clearlooks-Phenix/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

This is the source of the workaround:

I found the original file on Gentoo mirrors. The package should build now, thanks for the tips.

andreyv commented on 2013-09-03 06:00

It seems that Debian source file's MD5 sum doesn't match the one specified in this PKGBUILD. Would it be OK for you to use a pre-built package ( , install it with pacman -U) until we can recover a source zip from the original website?

ThomasWinwood commented on 2013-09-03 04:34

jpfleury's site is down for maintenance; is it possible to use the Debian sid package ( in the PKGBUILD to try and stave off future uptime issues?

Currently not using this. Orphaning.

Non-git, traditionally versioned package.
