Thank you for your thorough investigation.

Ok, I fixed it. The game has a temp folder with a bunch of files where two copies exist next to each other, whose filenames have identical string representations but apparently different Unicode encodings. Since Linux handles filenames as arbitrary byte sequences, this is possible. However testdb seems to operate on the filename's string representations, thus it sees two identical entries in its database and believes there is a file conflict. After consultation with the upstream developer, I now updated the PKGBUILD to remove the whole temp folder (it seems it ended up in the release by accicdent) so the the problematic files won't be installed.

Weird. I wonder if this is actually a bug in pacman. Because I installed this package when I bought it through the hib and everything was fine until recently. Meanwhile there were some pacman updates and "out of the sudden" testdb complains about these files. Installs fine, runs fine, but testdb considers those files questionable. Even more weird that it doesn't seem to be consistent since you say your testdb doesn't complain. If you need me to check something for you, let me know.

I'll look into it.

Same issue with the non standard characters in the filenames here.

i add these 2 lines at the end of the package function: ---- cd "$pkgdir/opt/Closure/resources/textures/ui/temp/" rm *\(unicode\ encoding\ conflict\)\.png *[̈̀́]* ---- now it won't prompt any error again, but i'm not sure if that method has any side effect... (i don't even know where these pics appear, maybe the ending theme?)

I'm getting the same issue as vantu5z, even after an uninstall then reinstall (of closure).
