You're welcome 😁. I'm looking forward to it.

Thank you! I promise to take good care of this package!

namcap is an Arch Linux packaging tool that can automatically determine what dependencies are needed.

Got it, since namcap is specific to arch I am not able to use it currently.

I would be more than happy to be a co-maintainer for this package, as I am actively using arch.

It would be very helpful if you can co-maintain this.

Understood. However, according to the Debian package index, the dependencies for the new update are libdbus-1-3, libc6, iproute2, nftables, gnupg2, desktop-file-utils, libcap2-bin, libnss3-tools, ca-certificates, libpcap0.8, libayatana-appindicator3-1, libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0, libtss2-esys-3.0.2-0t64, and libtss2-tctildr0t64. I chose to omit desktop-file-utils, libayatana-appindicator3-1, and libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0 only.

A lot of those dependencies are for the gui included in cloudflare warp. namcap is an Arch Linux packaging tool that can automatically determine what dependencies are needed. As someone with over 200+ AUR packages, I highly recommend using it:

hurricane@TheCloutPC /tmp/cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin $ namcap cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin-2026.7.1377.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: ELF file ('usr/bin/warp-cli') lacks FULL RELRO, check LDFLAGS.
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: ELF file ('usr/bin/warp-svc') lacks FULL RELRO, check LDFLAGS.
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin E: Uncommon license identifiers such as 'LicenseRef-Unknown' require license files below /usr/share/licenses/cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin/ or switching to common license identifiers. Found 0/1 required license files.
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2' by file ('usr/bin/warp-cli')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Unused shared library '/usr/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2' by file ('usr/bin/warp-svc')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency libgcc detected and implicitly satisfied (libraries ['usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1'] needed in files ['usr/bin/warp-cli', 'usr/bin/warp-svc'])
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('iproute2')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('nftables')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('gnupg')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('libcap')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('ca-certificates')
cloudflare-warp-minimal-bin W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('libpcap')

As you can see, a lot of those depdencies are not needed. The only one you may need to keep would be nftbales, but the reset can go. Furthermore, if you're using Fedora as you main distro, I would be more than happy to be a co-maintainer for this package, as I am actively using arch.

Update to 2026.7.1377.0

It has been updated. Since I use Fedora, I don't usually notice when there is an update.

Change the license to be SPDX-compliant, as required by the PKGBUILD guidelines

I have changed it for the new version but I've seen many packages use custom as their license, but if there had been a known license, I would have followed the SPDX guidelines as required by the PKGBUILD guidelines.

Use namcap to determine the proper dependencies

Remove sudo from the PKGBUILD. There is absolutely zero, and I mean zero, reason this PKGBUILD should be calling sudo at all. The file exists in the pkgdir and is accessible to the user creating the PKGBUILD with mode 644. This is insanely improper.

I understand. It is indeed improper, and I definitely overlooked it. Thank you for pointing it out. I believe I know how it happened: I was testing the command as a non-root user, so I had to use sudo, and I simply copied and pasted the entire command.

This package needs the following changes:

  1. Update to 2026.7.1377.0
  2. Change license to be spdx compliant, as required in the PKGBUILD guidelines
  3. Use namcap to determine the proper dependencies; which are: libgcc, tpm2-tss, nss, dbus, glibc
  4. Remove sudo from the PKGBUILD. There is absolutely zero, and I mean zero reason this PKGBUILD should be calling sudo at all. The file exists in the pkgdir and is 644 accessible to the user creating the PKGBUILD. This is insanely improper.

Also, to keep this pkgbuild up to date, I recommend using the .nvchecker.toml file from cloudflare-warp-bin in combination with the pkgctl version check command.
