Also works for iX6500 : according to this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1500381#p1500381, edit PKGBUILD and replace everywhere mx880 by ix6500 and 383 by 384. Beau boulot Sébastien :)

Maybe I should clarify. When I was using jarfbarker's package, All I needed to dfo was install it and go into system-printer-config, and the printer would be automatically detected and I could connect from there. Using this package, however, I have no been able to get system-printer-config to detect anything.

Is this a driver only for the mx885? Or for all the MX880 series? I have an MX882, and it doesn't seem to work for that.

Thanks for this, works much better than what I had tried to put together. Clearly you know what you are doing. Have you been able to get the settings in printuimx880 to stick (e.g. print quality)?
