Hello,

  • the 'v' need to be cut from the pkgver https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/VCS_package_guidelines#Git
  • .SRFINFO have not been updated as AURweb show v2.8.3-1 (confirmed checking the snapshot)
  • not need to use "[ $CARCH == 'x86_64' ] && " and "[ $CARCH == 'i686' ] && " and write cmake config twice at first sight

Well I added the command mv /usr/games/CGeniusExe /usr/bin/CGeniusExe. Let me know if that solves your issue.

I'm still seeing this issue.

The PKGBUILD should be updated so that it just moves CGeniusEXE from /usr/games to /usr/bin in the package() function. You don't need any more hackery than that.

This did not happen when I tried to install it manually using makepkg -si

For me makepkg -si installs it into /usr/games too.

After testing and uploading, I have build it on my machine from AUR starting from zero again with version v2.7.0.r0.g49a142789-1.

This time the CGenius is indeed in /usr/games. This did not happen when I tried to install it manually using makepkg -si. Something is wrong with my config files I guess. Let me check what it could be. The path should be /usr/bin.

Okay, just updated this AUR. It should be better now. It least CGeniusEXE is installed in /usr/bin on my system with the most updated package. Let me know if it works on your side.

Still installs to /usr/games (looks like nothing changed at all). It installed to /usr/bin approx. a year ago.

Edit: recent Linux version form official site has executable in /usr/games too for some reason, but it is not commonly used place for executables in Arch Linux.

Edit2: version bump doesn't do anything in such case because it is updated on user's side anyway.

Just updated the version. It installs into /usr/bin. Can you recheck that?
