Looks like this package needs to be patched against the new updated libraries

@nachosduyo Ok. I've re-added ccp to the list. Apologies for the inconvenience.

nachosduyo commented on 2015-11-03 12:33 (UTC)

Adding ccp to DCOMPIZ_DEFAULT_PLUGINS fixed the issue.

@korrode, I may be entirely wrong but as I understand it, at the point where "if (initialPlugins.empty () && autoAddCCP)" is evaluated, the intialPlugins list should be empty so ccp should be auto-added. I did indeed try renaming ~/.config/compiz-1 and noticed no issues.

Also Chazza, did you temporarily rename your ~/.config/compiz-1 folder and restart compiz (and then try to enable more plugins in CCSM) to check what the true default state is?

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~compiz-team/compiz/0.9.12/revision/3951 I'm no C++ coder, but it looks to me like the change to main.cpp in r3951 only auto-activates cpp if the initial plugins list is empty. i.e. only if the configure line is this (or not present at all): -DCOMPIZ_DEFAULT_PLUGINS="" So it could be that Since we provide sane defaults regarding initial plugins, cpp must still be specified.

Thanks for reporting. I haven't noticed this behaviour myself so far. By any chance, is the issue fixed if you add ccp to the -DCOMPIZ_DEFAULT_PLUGINS line in the PKGBUILD and then rebuild Compiz? I removed it because ccp should by loaded by default from r3951 onwards but perhaps this isn't working properly in your case.

I use LXDE with Compiz instead of Openbox. Upon upgrading 0.9.12.2-7 -> 0.9.12.2-9 there is an issue that on bootup not all plugins are in effect; For example, Wobbly Windows and Commands are not, while Animations and Desktop Cube are. Unchecking and rechecking the first two does nothing. The only way to make them work is to execute openbox --replace, then compiz --replace. Downgrading to 0.9.12.2-7 fixed this issue.

Re to the comment below, I've now added xfce4-panel-compiz which is the standard xfce4-panel package with the patches linked to below. I'll continue to update this until such a time as Xfce upstream fixes these problems upstream. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xfce4-panel-compiz/

Does anyone use use Compiz with Xfce? If so, are you affected by either of the following issues? * https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Compiz#Xfce_panel_window_buttons_are_not_refreshed_when_a_window_changes_viewport * https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Compiz#Xfce_workspace_switcher_has_wrong_aspect_ratio If you are, there are now Xfce4 panel patches for both issues.
