Same here, but also same for palemoon. I have no clues.

Hey guys, since xulrunner is used again instead of palemoon for conkeror, I cannot open certain sites like wikipedia.org, but google.com is opened properly. What can I do to solve the issue?

Thanks haawda. Palemoon-bin installed and so did conkeror.

Install palemoon-bin instead of palemoon. If packer does not provide you the option to choose palemoon-bin over palemoon, change your AUR helper.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Tried again with packer. Says conkeror needs palemoon which needs gcc5. And again gcc5 kept going in some kind of loop, checking the same list of things over and over again. I tried the old fashioned way by downloading the snapshot of gcc5 and the same thing. I'm not going to waste your time and mine. I'm not about to go through the hassel of doing a chroot thing just for some dependency. I'll stick with firefox and that's it.

With xulrunner I had problems to render a number of websites, strangely including all Arch Linux related ones. Always blank windows opened.

@haawda: why don't you use xulrunner instead of palemoon?

czubek commented on 2017-11-21 12:41 (UTC)

I will try to install again tonight and take better records. But I am certain gcc5 and palemoon were listed as required and ultimately the install failed. It's not major as I am able to use firefox but conkeror was good for keyboard use.

Where do you get gcc5 as dependency? It is not in the PKGBUILD, and any C-compiler will do it.

Conkeror indicates gcc5, palemoon and a third program that I forget as dependencies. gcc5 fails to install.
