The package says to run the command nativemessaging-install install firefox, which is correct. But it must be run from the directory that contains the file connective-backend.py otherwise the path that is added in the ~/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts/com.connective.signer.json will be wrong and point to a non-existent file.

As of 2026-09-27, for this package, that is /opt/connective-plugin-linux/

Using just the connective-plugin-linux-git package and installing the newest add-on version directly from the Mozilla add-ons store worked for me.

Also, if you want to use this to activate itsme, you need to be quick enough from the app showing the code, entering that code, then entering your eID pin, and finally accepting to forward your data to itsme.

This didn't work for me, I had to run [trougnouf@bd connective-plugin-linux]$ nativemessaging-install install firefox to make it work.
