@neeshy Thanks for the explanation. I've read that in the future it should be possible to opt-in for TIOCSTI at runtime using sysctl

Looks like TIOCSTI (the ioctl conspy uses to send fake input into the given tty device) has been deprecated. Supposedly you can still re-enable it using /proc/sys/dev/tty/legacy_tiocsti, but I haven't figured out what inputs it accepts (it uses the proc_dobool sysctl handler in the kernel if you wanna follow that rabbit hole). It's failing with "Invalid argument" no matter what I write to it.

Other than that, you can try re-compiling the kernel with CONFIG_LEGACY_TIOCSTI explicitly set.

After the last system upgrade [ linux (6.1.12.arch1-1 -> 6.2.1.arch1-1) ], as soon as I type any character after sudo conspy 1 has given me the console, it quits with "/dev/tty1: Input/output error." message.
