This package did not compile for me, I believe because of my GCC version (13.2.1), see this issue (which is already fixed for the next release): https://github.com/wlav/cppyy/issues/181 . I eventually came up with a workaround: Install this file from the git repo, https://github.com/wlav/cppyy-backend/blob/master/cling/src/core/base/inc/ROOT/RConfig.hxx , to /usr/lib/python3.11/site-packages/cppyy_backend/include/ROOT/ , a directory installed as part of cppyy-cling. However, I'm not sure if this would be added as a patch of cppyy-cling or this package, or if it's not necessary since the next release will eventually fix it anyway.
