@m040601 No problem!

Yes definitely. If the repository gets any updates I’ll be on it.

@hanker:

You are right. Thanks for the hint.

The author himself maintains the other "-git" PKGBUILD, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ctpv-git.

Thats why I posted there and here.

I just now noticed this PKGBUILD is maintained by you, not by him.

If the tool itself still gets development, care and polish, would be nice if both PKGBUILD's were coordinated.

Hi @m040601, I think you should open an issue in the ctpv GitHub repository (https://github.com/NikitaIvanovV/ctpv) mentioning this unnecessary dependency.

I can't contribute code directly to the repository as I'm not a maintainer of the program, just this package, and the repository has been abandoned for 8 months.

Thanks.

optdepends=(
    'colordiff: for diff files'

This seems unnecessary and redundant. "Colordiff" was/is a perl tools not needed anymore.

diff --color option was added to GNU diffutils 3.4 (2016-08-08)

man diff

       --color[=WHEN]
              color output; WHEN is 'never', 'always', or 'auto'; plain
              --color means --color='auto'

       --palette=PALETTE
              the colors to use when --color is active; PALETTE is a
              colon-separated list of terminfo capabilities

Am I correct ?
