Just do a pacman -Syu first and all will be good. pkg-config has just been updated, that was the problem: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=214847

Also $startdir/pkg/ should be replaced with $pkgdir/

Using $startdir/src/ is deprecated and should be replaced by $srcdir/

While compiling is succesful, makepkg produces wrong package with a size of only 1026 bytes, containing only .INSTALL .PKGINFO and .MTREE files. Same situation applies to d2x-rebirth. Please fix that!

No problem, thanks for doing this. Now I confirm that it builds ok. Will try to play tonight, as for now i only have ssh access to my linux box.
