There are new fixes and addons to pick from, but they require changes to launcher (ability to patch large files using same method we patch FALL.EXE right now). I'm leaving those on "Out-of-date" to remind me I have to implement this feature, and then update those.

Btw, in version -2 I moved icons for gold, maps and parchments into andyfall-fixes, this mod contains also faces for black elves in Castle Wayrest and fixed staff enchantment points (to match ones given in official materials/guides). The recommended setup for now is:

1) install daggerfall
2) install daggerfall-fixes and leave all to enabled
3) install daggerfall-addons and
a) leave it as is, or
b) disable brendan-straight-text and enable brendan-text. I prefer some humour, but as it might ruin original feel of the game, it is not enabled by default
4) set wagon capacity to 1000 (there are items that weight 1000 in game, without wagon you wouldn't be able to carry them at all - in older versions of game the wagon had 1000kg capacity, but it was lowered later by patch. Other thing you can do is hack the items to weight no more than 750kg, but this isn't available in launcher yet, I still don't understand 3 of 48 bytes of item description in FALL.EXE)
5) unlock high skills, this lets you obtain levels which were intended but never enabled, and get master of skills
6) To get nice music, install timidity++ as described on
7) Run once, if everything works set fullscreen=true in /usr/share/games/daggerfall/dagger.conf

In short, I for myself I'm doing (I already have timidity++ because I use it for all dosbox apps I run):

daggerfall --accept-license
daggerfall --disable-mod=brendan_straight_text
daggerfall --enable-mod=brendan_text
daggerfall --set-wagon-capacity=1000
daggerfall --set-high-skills=on

and if it runs/plays, I enable the fullscreen as default.

To update this, please do so first to daggerfall-fixes. I will solve such issues in launcher (mod renaming), but for now it requires some caution. I will not rename any mods in near future and by this time I probably find some better solution, so this problem shouldn't occur again.

Moved parts of andyfall patch related to helmets and clothes into respective patches. The andyfall patch itself does:

- change weapon damage
- change material damage bonus
- increase enchantment points for staff
- inclusion of The Angry Porcupine
- change icons for gold ingredient, maps and parchments
- new character classes

For now they cannot be split more, because launcher does not support mods consisting of only patches. If I find time to implement it, I might split out some more stuff into a few. Personally I'm not really sure if the gameplay changes are that good. Anyway, all other stuff from sits in andyfall-lite group, so I recommend to use it instead (that's the default setup, andyfall-lite is enabled, but andyfall not).

Added Andyfall.

Not all mods can be easily dated - they can be dated by upload dates, which means they are not newer than specified dates. - 22 June 2010 - 22 June 2010 - 22 June 2010 - 22 June 2010 - 22 June 2010
(above are repackaged parts of ANDYFALL.ZIP, dated before 16 October 1998) - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 16 October 1998 - 01 March 2001 - 14 March 2005 - 09 June 2005

In short, it is not likely that there will be some new addons soon.
