oh right, the man page (dapper.1) should have been included in the tarball, but obviously wasn't; my bad. This means indeed that you'll need perl (which provides pod2man) in order to build it. Sorry about that.

Installation fails with: /bin/sh: pod2man: command not found make[1]: *** [Makefile:821: dapper.1] Error 127
