@freswa, I've noticed that since the change linked below was done on
2019.2.3
, desktop icon doesn't fully work in KDE Plasma. If you go to the Applications menu, the icon works, but if you add it as favorite, it doesn't:https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/jetbrains-datagrip.desktop?h=datagrip&id=
d9c2a9dba21a
I'm not sure if this is bug in
plasmashell
or the svg image has something wrong. All I know is that reverting the change back to png format, solves the issue.Thank you.

That's an upstream decision. The desktop file is the export of datagrip itself and I won't change it. But feel free to overwrite it with a local desktop file in your home folder.

Can you change the Icon line in the .desktop file to
Icon=datagrip
? This way, custom icon themes would be supported.Dreyk commented on 2019-08-01 11:31 (UTC)
Yes indeed. It seems that the new version whith hotfix has already been published on the JetBrains download section.

Hi. Thanks for you work.
But after upgrading to 2019.2-1 - DataGrip can not start, only inactive window is displayed.
Launch command: "/opt/datagrip/bin/datagrip.sh" %f
OS: Manjaro Linux
Desktop: KDE
LOG: https://pastebin.com/vNLCsNjx
Everything worked fine before the upgrade. Reinstalling and cleaning config - did not solve the problem.

When connecting to MySQL databases using this version, 2 files are missing:
java.nio.file.NoSuchFileException: /opt/datagrip/lib/kotlin-stdlib-jdk7.jar. java.nio.file.NoSuchFileException: /opt/datagrip/lib/kotlin-stdlib.jar.
manually downloading them from mvn and placing them into the correct path and it worked fine.
