@josesj Thanks for the report ! I fix it a bit differently by cleaning the source dirs before the build. The link is still needed, it's just an error due to the files of the previous build.

Hi, and thanks for maintaining this package.

I hit a few problems building and running 21.1.1-1 on Arch (current, x86_64). All are fixed by the patch below, and Resolve now starts and runs fine here.

Build (prepare()):

  1. ln: failed to create symbolic link 'squashfs-root/bin/BlackmagicRawAPI': File exists. 21.1.1 already ships this file, so the link is now only created if it's missing.

  2. ln: failed to create symbolic link 'squashfs-root/libs/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0': File exists. The bundled copy is now shipped too, so the system-lib symlinks use ln -sf.

  3. Optional: guard the AV3A FFmpeg patch so that re-running makepkg on an existing src/ after an interrupted build doesn't abort with "The next patch would create the file libavcodec/av3a.h, which already exists!". This is only a convenience and can be dropped if you prefer.

Runtime:

  1. Resolve exited right after startup with "Failed to create application support directories". strace shows mkdir("/opt/resolve/. The package now creates /opt/resolve/Immersive with mode 0

  2. /opt/resolve/.license is now cr since Resolve writes its licensefiles there at runtime. I only chaaven't verified that it is strictly required.

Happy to adjust anything, for example using a tmpfiles.d entry or a different group/mode instead of 0777 if you'd rather not ship world-writable directories.
