Every time I try to install the newest version it creates a wrong link with "DaVinci_Resolve_14.3_Linux.zip -> /home/alex/Downloads". However alex is not my username. Looks like the maintainer's name is alex. So maybe there went sth wrong?

@b7anka Thank you. Next time please use "Flag package out-of-date" at the top right :)

Sorry for the late reply

@codedcosmos, @kfish all questions of this kind, please contact the Blackmagic Design Forum directly http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/. It has nothing to do with this package, that's the business of the Davinci Resolve developers

@codibit The package is already finished. Due to the a lack of time, I unfortunately didn't get to test it. Anyway, feel free to maintain it yourself. Good luck!

codibit commented on 2018-01-18 13:02 (UTC)

I created a "copy" of this Package, changing it to use the studio version, adding dongle support to it as well (udev rule).

For now it's in https://github.com/codibit/davinci-resolve-studio

Would you like to mantain it in the AUR repository, or shall I submit it?

When I run Resolve, it gives an error that DaVinci Resolve could not find any OpenCL capable GPUs. Using Intel 620 Graphics

codedcosmos commented on 2017-12-21 08:10 (UTC)

Still getting: log4cxx: No appender could be found for logger (Undefined). log4cxx: Please initialize the log4cxx system properly.

It wont start, im using RX 570 and Ryzen 7 1700.

I have installed log4cxx and https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/opencl-amd/ but it still wont work. Any ideas?

@satriani I have downloaded DaVinci_Resolve_14.1.1_Linux.zip and placed it into /tmp/pamac-build-drown/davinci-resolve, and then tried to re-initialize the build via the pacmac gui, but it fails. I'm not very familiar with pacman or yaort, I'm an apt user, which one are you suggesting to be used? Where should I look for the PKGBUILD file? I know where to find it if using pamac, but no idea where it should be with pacman/yaort?
